🍻 We're pleased to share some positive news on The George Inn.
♥️ We are currently collaborating with Barchester Court, the pub's current freeholders, to find a way to get the pub open again as soon as possible. We are pursuing potential options and it's likely that we'll be asking for volunteers along the way (we're currently working out the support that may be required), so watch this space and thank you to anyone who might be able to help!
🛠️ The renovation works being carried out by Barchester Court are also going well. We've been inside the pub and it's looking great! We're excited about the progress.
🚀 On the potential purchase of the building for the community, a valuation has now been booked in for early October. This is an important next step made possible by the funds raised through our recent events. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, helped out and shown up to make these events a success!

Behind the scenes, pulling together a viable plan has meant working through a number of options, with considerable third-party support and input to get it right. We know it's been a long wait, and we're grateful for your understanding as we've worked through this.
